MONOmania highlights the beauty of black and white photography

MONOmania

Photographers and artists gathered for a day of fun activities and learning in a one-of-a-kind event called MONOmania: A Black and White PhotoFest.

The event, which was held at Vetro, Quezon City last September 23 to 24, 2017, showcased the artworks of various black and white photographers. MONOmania also had workshops, photo reviews, and talks by esteemed artisans from Film Folk, Artbooks.ph, and more.

Aside from that, several photozines were launched during the event featuring ‘Tadaima’ by MONOmania founder Erin Noir, ‘2307‘ by Aia Solis, and MONOcollective Vol 2 which showcased the work of 36 photographers.

MONOmania also served as a meeting ground for photographers; everyone from novice, amateurs, hobbyists, and professionals. It didn’t matter if they shot in digital or film. We even got to meet several old timers, who were more than happy to share their own stories on how they started in film photography.

Film Traveler is proud to have been part of this event. MONOmania: A Black and White PhotoFest opened a lot of doors for new things for our website and we can’t wait to get started. Stay tuned for amazing features and interviews in the coming months.

Congratulations to Erin Noir and her awesome team for creating a wonderful, successful event! Hoping for a bigger and better MONOmania next year.
